在现场急救中主要使用橡皮止血带和布性止血带。 橡皮止血带是一种特制的橡皮管，在现场可使用橡皮条、自行车内胎等替代。使用时要把止血带放在肢体适当的部位，如上肢要放在上臂中上1/3处；下肢放在大腿的中下1/3处。先在上止血带的部位垫一层软布，如毛巾、口罩等以保护皮肤。救助者用左手拇指、食指和中指持止血带的头端，右手将橡皮管拉紧绕肢体一圈后压住头端，再绕肢体一圈后将右手持的尾端放人左手食指中指之间，由食指中指夹持尾端从两圈止血带下拉出一半，使之成为一个活结。如果需要松止血带时，只要将尾端拉出即可。 布性止血带是用绷带或布条制成的止血带。现场急救时可用毛巾、衣物撕成布条代替绷带。将布带缠绕肢体一圈后打结，圈内插入一小木棍绞紧，边绞边看出血情况，动脉出血刚刚止住即为松紧适度。然后将小木棍用布条固定。

Insert a small wooden stick into the band to tighten it. Watch the bleeding while the bandage is twisted. The arterial bleeding is just stopped, and then it is moderately tightened. Then fix the stick with a cloth strip.
